AmeriCorps is the federal agency for national service and volunteerism, providing opportunities for all Americans to serve their country, address the nation's most pressing issues, and improve lives and communities. Every year, AmeriCorps enrolls more than 200,000 individuals to make a difference.

Receive a living allowance to cover the basic expenses of your serving term

Earn money for college and trade school through the Segal AmeriCorps Education Award, which is offered to individuals who complete a term of service. The award can be used to pay for a range of educational expenses, such as repaying qualified student loans or future tuition payments. You can earn up to two full Education Awards with multiple service terms!

Those in approved positions are eligible for forbearance for most federally guaranteed student loans. Interest payments that accumulate during service may be eligible for repayment by AmeriCorps

Receive childcare benefits! If you have children under 13 years of age, you may qualify for the AmeriCorps childcare benefit
If you are between the ages of 17-24, in the DC area, and are interested in being an Earth Conservation Corps AmeriCorps member, please download and fill out the AmeriCorps Application. When completed, please submit to Sonora Phillips (Program Manager) sonora@earthconservationcorps.org via an email titled "[Your name] AmeriCorps Application."
